A Fun Trip

So here's our grand adventure that we just got back from. We started out in Florence and drove up the coast to Tillamook, and of course got in the cheese line a couple times to partake of its goodness. We then went and spent the night at Blayne and Aerin's and got to visit with them til the wee hours of the morning. Then, off to Mt. Hood area for some mountain biking and some camping between two rivers. The White river and some other big one. Then off to Lewis River, in Washington, for a little family get-together. It was great fun and such. We then headed home and still have yet to unpack! Alyssa has discovered books, well a while ago really, and she really enjoys reading and looking at pictures. She was off course entertained with all the people and cousins she met, and now demands that we hold her constantly for the time being. Spoiled! She had her 4 month doctors appointment on Monday, which she passed with flying colors. The doctor says she's doing good and all that. She didn't like her 3 shots she got (do you blame her?), but is recovering quite nicely after she got rid of the little fever. She's almost sitting up by herself and we think she's starting to teeth. Weee. She now is 25 1/2 inches long and 12.1 pounds. We've been feeding her baby cereal, which is the highlight of her night! Ha! It's the simple things.... She can also pick up things, when you hold her above them, and is figuring out what's edible and what's not! She did really well on her 9 day road trip and of course made us proud. Oh, she's also starting this funny little phase where she squeals high pitched. It's quite hilarious! So that's been our focus lately, to see how much she'll do it! Anywho, that's all for now!

Ok, now I am very jealous! I wanna see Lewis River! And Devin catching that big rainbow trout! I am really jealous!

Heck the only thing I have been catching here is Channel Catfish! And I now refuse to clean them. Those dang things never die! I can gut the thing and its still breathing.

Once I gutted it and had the head off. Then put the head beside me in the bag, and continued to clean it out. That head opened up its mouth and gills....and it was detached from its body! I know it must have been reflex. But, still! I now refuse to clean the catfish. I will clean anything else. But, not that! Just freaked me out.
